Dr Haidar Al Yousuf is one of the most prominent figures in the UAE healthcare industry, he is now the Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Health Group, his previous role has been the design and successful implementation of the health insurance system of the Emirate of Dubai (ISAHD اسعاد (and the mandatory health insurance law for Dubai, law no 11 for 2013 by HH Shiekh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice president of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, achieving total healthcare coverage for the population in three years and regulating one of the most recognized health systems in region.

Dr Alyousuf has taken an active role in the public, government, and health sector scenes, this has included involvement with The Executive Council in developing The Dubai strategic plan 2007- 2015 and 2016-2021.
He also led the first phase of DHA Dubai Health Sector Strategy development for 2016-2021 (health innovation labs, 2015) at which HH Shiekh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has participated.
